I watched as thousands listened intently at the Reason Rally in Washington, DC. Championing the atheist cause, Eddie Tabash, chairman of the board for the Center For Inquiry, political and social activist, and proponent of the Establishment Clause, addressed the crowd:
“We see the rampant promotion of faith and unscientific charlatanry designed to deceive us and to deprive us of rational evidence-based solutions. Sometimes it appears as if hardly a dent has been made in the monolithic wall of power established by superstition. Yet if we all work together, we can achieve a better and more enlightened future, by dispelling superstition and championing evidence, science, reason, and human rights, we atheists and skeptics can truly become a beacon of light for all humanity.”
How can we keep quiet? In light of the overwhelming evidence, placing one’s faith in Jesus Christ is a rational decision. Can you defend the rationality? We know that many cannot as millennials leave the church and their faith in droves. The great hope and evidence for the Gospel of Jesus Christ compels Cristie Jo and I to proclaim the Gospel. We are producing a documentary to make Christians aware of the cultural battle brewing around us and how to take part in it.
